Applied research happens when students and staff:
- work with an industry or community partner,
- address that partner’s articulated need or problem, and
- deliver a solution.
Applied research advances students’ career readiness and furthers the province’s economic and social development.
Using its unique combination of expertise, equipment, and facilities, ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ performs applied research to help solve technical and business problems and develop opportunities. ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ develops innovative technologies and processes that enhance the way we live, work, and do business.

ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ campuses are located on Mi’kmaq, Wolastoq and Peskotomuhkati homelands. Since 1726 this land has been subject to treaties that are still in effect today. We are grateful to learn together on this land and do so guided by the original spirit of those treaties - peace, respect and friendship.
