ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Saint John instructor Lori Kelly worked with colleagues Wanda Gass, Alicia MacDonald and Betty Lydon to integrate Nursing Central, a mobile learning app, into ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳’s curriculum to prepare students for clinical practice. The app provided students with detailed information on diseases, tests and procedures – all in support of ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳’s teaching themes. It put a powerful database of over 5,000 drugs and 65,000 medical terms in the palms of students’ hands and trained them to use mobile tools to enhance their practice and prepare them for a technology-enabled healthcare industry.
